This week, we have had an amazing time celebrating British Science Week with the theme of 'Change and Adapt'. Our pupils have been busy exploring this fascinating topic through a variety of exciting activities designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding.
In class, the children participated in hands-on investigations and thought-provoking discussions about how animals and plants adapt to their environments. These activities not only encouraged scientific thinking but also fostered skills such as observation, questioning, and problem-solving.
A highlight of the week was a visit from Steve at 'Hands on Science'. During his engaging assembly and workshop on Wednesday, we explored the incredible world of animal adaptations. From camouflage to hibernation, our pupils were fascinated to learn how living things have evolved to survive and thrive in changing environments.
On Thursday, we proudly showcased our science projects, where pupils presented their fantastic research and creative work to their peers. Each project reflected impressive dedication and a deep understanding of the theme. The children demonstrated excellent communication skills as they confidently shared their findings with classmates from different year groups.
A huge well done to everyone who took part!
What fabulous scientists you are!
