Year One had a fantastic Science Week, packed with hands-on experiments and creative activities!
The children began by growing cress, carefully observing its changes each day and recording their findings in science journals. They also took part in a fascinating camouflage workshop, studying butterflies and their surroundings to understand how animals blend into nature for protection.
In an exciting STEM challenge, the children worked together to build bridges out of pasta and playdough, testing and adapting their designs to make them stronger.
In maths, they explored halves and quarters, using everyday objects to practice dividing them into equal parts.
It was a week full of growth, discovery, and teamwork, and the children had a wonderful time learning and experimenting!
