What an amazing first week back we’ve had! Everyone has settled straight back into learning and we’ve already started some new and exciting topics!

In English, we’ve begun exploring play scripts. We’ve learned about the different features of a play script and what stage directions are for. We even had a go at acting out a scene from Oliver Twist as part of our experience day. It was so much fun bringing the story to life!

In Maths, we’ve been focusing on time. We’ve looked at both analogue and digital clocks and have been learning about the 12-hour and 24-hour clocks. We’re getting really good at reading the time in different formats!

In Science, we’ve been studying states of matter. We sorted various things into solids, liquids, and gases and also had a go at drawing what the particles look like in each state. It’s been fascinating to learn how everything around us is made up of these particles!

We also had a brilliant afternoon on Thursday when we had our first Forest School lesson of the year. We explored some exciting new areas, including the mud kitchen and the water play area, and even found materials to build our own dens. It was such a fun and creative afternoon!

We’ve had such an exciting week, and we can’t wait for more adventures in the weeks ahead!
